Ni-MWCNTs (Nickel Coated Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes)
Ni-MWCNTs (nickel coated multi-walled carbon nanotubes) is ferromagnetic nickel coated on one dimensional multi-walled carbon nanotubes framework, showing good magnetic properties.
With excellent electrical conductivity, remarkable chemical stability, and high number of active sites, Ni-MWCNTs exhibit excellent oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalytic performance. Nickel impregnated multi-walled carbon nanotubes has also been used in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) to replace the platinum counter electrode material, exhibiting a higher power-conversion-efficiency (PCE) of 9.72% while compared to that of Pt-based DSSC (8.85%).
