Antimony tin oxide (CAS number 128221-48-7), also referred to as ATO, is a conducting metal oxide. Antimony tin oxide exhibits high transparency across the visible light spectrum (380–800 nm). When combined with self-assembled monolayer materials, antimony tin oxide is applied as an interlayer between perovskite and hole-transporting layers in an inverted perovskite solar cell. ATO improves the stability of the interface, suppresses non-radiative recombination, and enhances charge extraction in the solar cell. Such an inverted perovskite solar cell with ATO achieves a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.7%.

Antimony tin oxide decorated graphene (ATO/graphene) composite demonstrates high electrical conductivity and structural stability as an anode material in lithium batteries. ATO increases the lithium insertion rate and improves cycling stability, enabling the battery cells to reach a gravimetric capacity of 1226 mAh/g at 1C and 577 mAh/g at 60C. The ATO/graphene anode also shows excellent stability with a capacity retention of 77% after 1000 cycles.
